Dialysis Technician (DT)
Dialysis is a treatment given to patients with poorly or non-functioning kidneys. A Dialysis technician is trained to manage and take care of such patients. Typically, a patient on dialysis needs to undergo treatment for four hours and needs to undergo dialysis 3 times a week. The dialysis therapy technologist is integral to nephrologist team and works under the nephrologist by comprehending his / her prescriptions to provide dialysis therapy to a patient with kidney transplant or kidney failure.
